Getting Started
Do I need any experience to start Reiki?
No. Our Reiki Level 1 course is designed for complete beginners. We start with the basic concepts and then move on to hands-on practice, personal experience and guidance from your teacher. Whether you want to learn self-care, support your family and friends, or eventually work in the healing field, Level 1 is the place to start.
Where can I take a beginner-friendly Reiki certificate course in Hong Kong?
Limitless Reiki Academy runs a beginner-friendly Usui Reiki Level 1 certificate course at our studio in Wong Chuk Hang (Unit 1802, 18/F, W50, 50 Wong Chuk Hang Road). It's a one-day class of about 3.5 hours for 2–4 students. No prior experience is needed, and the certificate bears the UK CMA accreditation logo. Fees are HK$2,000 with Fanny Wu or HK$3,500 with Chui Tien You.
Do I need a special gift or strong intuition to learn Reiki?
No. People from all kinds of backgrounds learn Reiki, and you don't need any special talent or spiritual sensitivity. Through your attunement, practice and growing self-awareness, your connection with Reiki develops gradually. Everyone feels things at their own pace and in their own way, so we encourage you to stay open and relaxed, and not to compare yourself with others.
Is Reiki a religion?
No. Reiki is an energy practice that anyone can learn, whatever their beliefs. We respect every student's religion, culture and personal choices.
What will I learn in Reiki Level 1?
Level 1 focuses on self-healing. You'll learn the history of Usui Reiki and how Reiki works, and you'll receive your Level 1 attunement. You'll also learn about the seven chakras and the aura, how emotions affect your wellbeing, chakra balancing and cleansing, an energy-clearing meditation, and simple self-healing techniques for daily life. Certificates and Recognition
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. You receive a certificate when you complete each level. The Academy's Reiki and crystal singing bowl courses are accredited by the UK's Complementary Medical Association (CMA), and Reiki certificates carry the CMA logo. Arrangements, content and completion requirements vary by course, so please check the course page or ask us before enrolling.
Is the certificate internationally recognised?
Limitless Reiki Academy is a registered college of the Complementary Medical Association (CMA), a UK professional association whose accreditation is recognised in many countries. After Level 1 you can apply for CMA student membership, and Master Teacher graduates may apply for professional membership. Graduates can also register with the IARP (International Association of Reiki Professionals): as a Reiki practitioner after Level 3, or as a Reiki teacher after Master Teacher. CMA and IARP membership fees are paid by the student.
How do I choose a reputable Reiki teacher?
Look for a clear Usui lineage, a course accredited by a recognised professional body, a teacher registered with a professional association, a structured level-by-level syllabus, small classes with real hands-on practice, support after class, and honest wording that presents Reiki as complementary to medical care. Teachers and Fees
Who teaches the courses?
Our core courses are designed and taught by founder and lead teacher 徐天佑 Chui Tien You, a 10th-generation Usui Reiki Master Teacher and IARP-registered Reiki teacher. Academy-certified teacher Fanny Wu teaches Reiki Level 1, Level 2 and Master Practitioner.
How much do the courses cost, and why are there two prices?
The course content and certificate are the same whoever teaches you. Only the fee differs, depending on the teacher.

The Crystal Singing Bowl Foundation Course (Level 1) is HK$5,150 and includes an 8-inch crystal singing bowl set.
How long is each course, and how big are the classes?
- Reiki Level 1: one day, about 3.5 hours
- Reiki Level 2: one day, 3–4 hours
- Reiki Master Practitioner: two sessions of 3–4 hours each, about 3–4 weeks apart
- Reiki Master Teacher: two sessions (3.5 hours, then 2 hours)
- Crystal Singing Bowl Foundation Course: one day, 3 hours
Reiki classes are taught in small groups of 2–4, and the crystal singing bowl foundation course takes a maximum of 4 students.
What language are classes taught in?
All classes are taught in Cantonese, and course manuals are in Chinese.
Scheduling
Are there weekend or evening classes? Can I learn Reiki alongside a full-time job?
Yes. We run a fixed class schedule each month, including weekend and evening classes, and private classes or custom times can be arranged on enquiry. Reiki Level 1 is a single class of about 3.5 hours, so it fits comfortably around a full-time job. You can then move on to the next level whenever suits you. Do you offer online classes?
Yes. Reiki Level 1 is available online via Zoom, with the same content as the in-person course, plus a free 30-minute in-person attunement at our studio. A private one-to-one class (150 minutes) is HK$3,000, and groups of two or more are HK$2,200 per person. Private one-to-one, private group and corporate classes are also available on request.
Crystal Singing Bowls
Which course teaches me to use crystal singing bowls for relaxation sessions?
Our Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Healing Certificate Course, built on Chui Tien You's Crystal Sound Spectrum Healing System. Level 1 covers self-healing and playing technique. Level 2 teaches you how to design and guide sound baths for others. Level 3 leads to the Crystal Singing Bowl Sound Healing Practitioner qualification. Is the crystal singing bowl course suitable if I have no music background?
Yes. You don't need any musical background. The course starts from the basics: how to use the bowls, how sound moves, how to work with space and pacing, and how a sound healing session flows. What matters most is that you listen with care, notice how sound feels, and gradually build a safe, high-quality sound practice.
How do I join crystal singing bowl Levels 2 and 3?
Levels 2 and 3 are open to students who have completed our Level 1 foundation course. Level 2 has a base tuition of HK$4,000, and Level 3 is HK$6,200 over two sessions. After the Course
Can I help other people after learning Reiki?
Once you've completed the relevant level and practised, you can gradually start offering Reiki to yourself, your family, your friends and others who would like it. Level 2 teaches the full method for giving Reiki to others. If you'd like to work professionally, we recommend continuing your training, building up practice experience and taking healing ethics seriously, with guidance from your teacher.
Can Reiki replace medical treatment?
No. Reiki is a complementary practice. It does not replace a doctor's diagnosis, medical treatment, medication, psychotherapy or advice from a qualified healthcare professional. We don't diagnose illness or promise medical outcomes, and we will never advise you to stop medication or medical care. Reiki can support relaxation and self-care alongside professional care.
