About Limitless Reiki Academy and Our Teachers

Limitless Reiki Academy 靈氣學院 is a Hong Kong academy dedicated to teaching Reiki, energy healing and sound healing. It was founded in December 2022 by 徐天佑 Chui Tien You. The UK's Complementary Medical Association (CMA) recognises the Academy as a registered college, and more than 200 students have trained with us since we opened.

Our Approach

We believe healing is more than a set of techniques. It's a process of getting to know yourself again, building awareness and connecting more deeply with life. Our courses therefore cover Reiki, energy work, sound healing and the theory behind them, while giving just as much weight to practice, direct experience and inner integration.

All courses are designed by Chui Tien You. They combine professional knowledge, practical experience and his own spiritual practice to give students a safe, clear and meaningful place to learn. You might be starting out and simply want to look after yourself, or you might be planning to work as a healer. Either way, we'll help you build a solid foundation one step at a time.

Above all, we hope our students take home more than methods: we hope they bring healing into their own lives and, when the time is right, share that support with others.

Our Story So Far

  • December 2022: Limitless Reiki Academy opens in Hong Kong
  • October 2023: we welcome our 100th student
  • August 2024: we welcome our 200th student
  • 2025–2026: we keep developing our Reiki and sound healing courses, Academy events and advanced learning pathways

Along the way, more than ten of our students have gone on to build careers in healing, teaching or other holistic work. We're grateful to every student for their trust and companionship on this journey.

徐天佑 Chui Tien You: Founder and Lead Teacher

Chui Tien You is the founder and lead teacher of Limitless Reiki Academy. He has studied Reiki, sound healing and a range of other healing systems with teachers in Hong Kong and overseas, and qualified as a Reiki teacher in the UK. Over the years he has brought his own life experience, healing practice and teaching into the Academy's courses. For him, teaching is less about passing on techniques and more about helping students grow in awareness and change on every level: body, mind and spirit.

From Actor to Reiki Master

Tien You has been sensitive to the spiritual side of life since childhood. He has always felt that life and spirituality are one and the same; it's just that most of us are too busy living to stop and notice.

He left school to work as an actor before he had finished secondary school, and went on to work as an actor and singer. Some people call the entertainment industry a "university of society": you meet people from every walk of life, and you grow up fast. Those years brought plenty of emotional strain. In his early twenties he went through a long stretch of recurring stomach pain that medication didn't seem to help. Then, by chance, he met a spiritual teacher. He didn't know it at the time, but she was a Reiki practitioner. He kept telling her the problem was his stomach. After the session she shook her head, touched his head lightly, and placed her palm over his heart:

"The problem is here."

He was in fact living with anxiety. Looking back, the pain had been his body's way of raising the alarm, and he hadn't been listening. That moment started his exploration of body, mind and spirit. Curiosity turned into study, and study turned into practice. Later, together with his wife, who shares his path, he travelled widely to experience and learn different forms of spiritual healing. A few years ago he had a remarkable experience inside a pyramid in Egypt, and soon afterwards he became a Reiki teacher, almost as if it had been meant to happen.

His Reiki teacher in the UK kept encouraging him: "You should share your rare experience and knowledge." That's what the Academy is for. As Tien You puts it: "What I hope for is that every student grows in body, mind and spirit through our classes."

"In healing others, we also heal ourselves." — 徐天佑 Chui Tien You

Her courses cover the same content and lead to the same certificate as the founder's; only the fee differs. She also offers private Reiki and crystal singing bowl sessions at the Academy (bookings via WhatsApp +852 5592 6085).

How to Choose a Reputable Reiki Teacher

If you're looking for structured training and an internationally recognised certificate, these are the questions worth asking any Reiki teacher, including us:

  1. Is the lineage clear? A teacher of Usui Reiki should be able to show you their lineage back to Dr Mikao Usui.
  2. Is the course accredited by a recognised professional body? Ask which organisation accredits the course or certificate, and check it on that organisation's own website.
  3. Is the teacher registered with a professional association? Membership of a body such as the IARP shows a commitment to professional standards.
  4. Is there a clear level structure? Look for defined levels, each with a syllabus, prerequisites and a certificate, rather than a single "master in a weekend" package.
  5. How big are the classes, and how much hands-on practice will you get? Small groups mean real practice time and personal feedback.
  6. Is there support after class? Find out whether you can ask questions once the course is over, and whether there's a community to practise with.
  7. Is the teacher honest about what Reiki can and can't do? A responsible teacher presents Reiki as complementary to medical care and never tells you to stop treatment.
  8. Is there no pressure to sign up? You should be free to learn at your own pace and decide for yourself whether to continue.

Our Professional Standards

Responsible Reiki teaching means being clear about what Reiki is for, where its limits are, and the ethics behind it. We commit to:

  • not diagnosing illness
  • not promising any medical or therapeutic outcome
  • never advising students to stop medical follow-up or interrupt any medical care
  • never presenting Reiki as a replacement for advice from doctors, psychologists, physiotherapists or other qualified healthcare professionals
  • respecting every student's religion, beliefs, cultural background and personal choices
  • protecting students' privacy, and never sharing personal stories without consent
  • never using pushy sales tactics, or encouraging students to depend on us
  • encouraging students to stay grounded, aware and responsible for their own wellbeing

We also encourage graduates not to rush into offering Reiki professionally. Anyone planning to offer Reiki services should keep practising, define a clear scope of service, and understand the legal, insurance, ethical and personal responsibilities involved.
